The direct restaurant site tells the current story. 5 Points Diner is operating at 1016 Woodland with brunch, dinner, late-night, happy hour, and the kind of menu language that makes 'Frunch' a real word whether we are emotionally ready or not.
This is why the restaurant watch cannot just scrape headlines and sprint. East Nashville has too many address ghosts, rebrands, pop-ups, old announcements, and listings that disagree with each other. The job is to catch the stale copy, check the business page, and publish the actual useful thing.
Our ruling: mark 5 Points Diner as active, not newly opening. The follow-up is the live-hours check, event calendar, and whether the late-night/Frunch programming is worth a proper Mabel visit.
