Four Connection Points To Watch
A public Reddit share of Nashville Business Journal reporting put new timeline hooks around four East Bank connection projects: Oracle's pedestrian bridge, the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge ramp, the James Robertson Parkway lowering, and the Oracle-East Nashville connection.
The share says Oracle's pedestrian bridge is targeting an August 2026 construction start and an approximate two-year build. The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge ramp is described as entering construction-team procurement this summer, with fall 2027 completion expected.
The James Robertson Parkway lowering is described as a late-2026 construction start with a November 2028 completion target. The Oracle-East Nashville connection is reported as heading toward a team under contract in the second quarter of 2027.
The useful framing for East Nashville is not 'bridges are neat.' It is that every East Bank promise depends on whether people can actually move east-west and north-south without turning the riverfront into a beautiful dead end.
East Bank connectivity is where the pretty renderings either become streets or stay pictures.
